Here at Good News Towing, we provide four main services throughout Johnson County: towing, jump starts, flat tire assistance, and vehicle lockout assistance. Below, you can learn more about each service and how we can help.

Towing

Whether your vehicle is front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive, we have the proper equipment to tow it safely. We can handle both routine and more difficult towing situations while taking care to avoid unnecessary damage.

We use the appropriate towing equipment and techniques for each vehicle and situation, including vehicles that require additional care because of their drivetrain or condition.

Jump Starts

We use a professional 1,700-amp jump pack, giving your vehicle a much stronger starting boost than standard jumper cables from another car. If the vehicle needs more than a jump start, our tow credit policy may help you avoid paying separately for both services.

Once your vehicle starts, the goal is to give you time to get organized and drive to your preferred or nearest battery or repair service location.
If the jump start does not get your vehicle running, we can apply the jump start service fee toward a tow.
If the vehicle dies again within one hour while you are getting it to a service location, we can apply that fee toward the tow as well.
You would only pay the additional amount needed for the tow instead of paying for both services separately.

Flat Tire Assistance

If you have a flat tire, we can install your spare and take care of the lifting, lug nuts, and inflation needed to get you moving again. To complete this service, you'll need to have your own spare with the tire already mounted on the wheel.

If your wheels use locking lug nuts, please have the wheel-lock key available.
Your spare does not have to be fully inflated. If it is low, we can add air before installing it.
We carry equipment for stubborn lug nuts and other common difficulties that can make a roadside tire change harder.
Whenever possible, we check the spare and wheel setup before beginning so we can identify obvious problems first.
For some small punctures in the tread area, we may be able to use a temporary tire plug and reinflate the tire instead of installing the spare. The tire should still be professionally inspected and repaired or replaced as soon as possible.
If we cannot complete the tire change and you choose to have the vehicle towed, we can apply the tire-assistance service fee toward the tow instead of charging you separately for both services.

Vehicle Lockout Assistance

Locked your keys in the car? It happens to just about everybody eventually. We provide vehicle lockout assistance for cars, trucks, and SUVs throughout Johnson County. Tell us the year, make, and model when you call, and we can usually tell you whether it is a lockout we are equipped to handle.

We carry several types of professional lockout tools and use different methods depending on the vehicle.
Different vehicles require different approaches, so we choose the method that fits the door and locking system.
We can give you an estimate before coming out so you know what to expect.
Depending on the vehicle and situation, our lockout service may cost considerably less than calling a locksmith.
